Foundation Puts On 3rd Annual Saturday Nite Sizzle

After a long day of conference workshops and exhibits, come join us 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, in the Magnolia Room of the Santa Clara Hyatt Regency Hotel for an evening of fun!

The Sizzle will include dancing, dessert, a no-host bar and prizes galore. Learn new dance steps! Listen to the Palo Alto Youth Orchestra. Dance! Have your picture taken in the photo booth in one of many zany outfits! Buy raffle tickets! Take a chance on the prizes on display.sizzle dancing

Your badge is your entry pass to the event. Bring a guest for only $15. Passes will be available online for $15 or at the door.

You can also buy raffle tickets online, at the Annual Conference hospitality table or at the Sizzle. The list of prizes includes: tickets to the San Francisco Ballet, California Academy of Science and the De Young Museum, books by Francisco Jiménez, gift certificates for dining, a stay at the fabulous Renaissance ClubSport, and many more items for locations throughout California.

The Saturday Nite Sizzle is an event that supports the mission and goals of the CATESOL Education Foundation.
Mission: To provide education opportunities to teachers of English learners and to inform the general public about strengths and needs of these students
Goals and Purpose:

  • To improve the preparation of teachers of nonnative learners by providing educational opportunities for further professional development
  • To inform the general public about the strengths and needs of nonnative speakers of English
  • To promote appreciation of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
