—We are seeking proposals for a theme section of the October 2015 issue of The CATESOL Journal.

A theme section consists of four to six articles, selected and compiled by a guest editor, on any topic of interest to the CATESOL readership.CJ26 cover for article art/call for proposals

Past theme sections have focused on a broad array of topics, such as Generation 1.5 immigrant students, technology and language learning, discourse-based grammar, nonnative speaker educators, and professionalism in K-12 ESL education.

If you have participated in a panel at the CATESOL Annual Conference, if you’ve worked with other educators on a project that could produce multiple articles, if you’ve been involved in a local or state educational initiative that might yield articles, or if you simply have an idea for a theme that you think we should cover in The CATESOL Journal, please email Mark Roberge at

We will select the theme section topic and guest editor in February 2015, and the guest editor will be responsible for submitting manuscripts by August 2015.
