This year’s Saturday Night Sizzle was Bollywood themed and featured many different forms of entertainment. The room was decorated with lotus flowers and elephants. Attendees were given bangles and bindis to wear to help get into the spirit of the evening. Many attendees took advantage of the photo booth to don their Bollywood flair and have some fun with colleagues. Two famous Bollywood movies played on screens at the front of the room to add to the atmosphere. A henna artist was available for those wishing to have something to commemorate their experience for a few days after the conference ended. About 8 p.m. members of the San Diego Bollywood Steps performed several different Bollywood-style dances and then invited attendees to join them on the dance floor for some instruction and dancing.

Finally, the CATESOL Education Foundation held its annual fund-raiser, during which winners took home prizes that included tickets to performances, gift baskets donated by CATESOL chapters, jewelry, and the ever-popular Cesar Chavez portrait.
